Our Facilities

WyndhamRC traces its roots to MARCS — pioneers who spent decades enjoying model aviation from the early 1950s. Our new facility, under construction, offers wide open space for RC aeroplane, helicopter, and drone flight. A DDA-compliant toilet, funded by a $50,000 Council small grant, arrives late 2026. A large new recycled-road-base carpark brings parking closer to the flightline, and a meeting room, kitchen, and huge undercover area encourage community gatherings. Each improvement helps WyndhamRC become the gateway into aeromodelling in Melbourne's west.

What people say

Welcoming

WyndhamRC is built on a simple idea: whether you've flown helis for twenty years or you've never touched a transmitter, you should feel welcome the moment you arrive. New members consistently say the same thing — it's refreshing how quickly you stop feeling like a visitor. That's not an accident. It's a supportive, inclusive membership by design — experienced pilots make time for newcomers, disciplines mix freely, and nobody's made to feel like their model or skill level doesn't belong.

Where everyone belongs — RC jet in flight

The field is laid out around what each discipline actually needs — so a heli pilot hovering and a fixed-wing pilot on approach are never fighting for the same airspace.

It's a gateway into the world of RC aeromodelling for a vibrant, multicultural community.

Whatever your background, aspirations, ability, or starting point, you'll find a place here.

At WyndhamRC you will experience encouragement, friendship and enjoyment where you LEARN, GAIN SKILLS & ENJOY THE SPORT.
