Every student learns on a club trainer plane with an instructor alongside — so your first mistakes happen with someone else's hand near the sticks, not yours alone.
Saturday sessions are for registered students only, with limited places. A handful of dates may be blocked out due to public holidays and events. Participants will be advised via a text message on Friday afternoon.
Weather dependent — sessions may be rescheduled in poor conditions.
Spring training block — 9 confirmed sessions, registered students only.
Training runs under the same national and state governance as full membership.
An instructor will conduct your session — please arrive at Lawrie Emmins Reserve, Old Geelong Road, Laverton, a few minutes before your scheduled Saturday. Training is subject to weather, so check for updates if conditions look doubtful.
Ongoing training after joining is free — there's no separate fee stacked on top of membership.
Your first four sessions use club equipment, insurance-covered, no joining required.
Structured fixed-wing sessions run on the club trainer, with an instructor alongside.
Saturday sessions build skills week to week — circuits, control, and confidence.
Once you've joined, ongoing training and instructor support continues free of charge.
